Ahmed was born in 1966 in Sudan and graduated in fine and applied arts from Sudan University, Khartoum in 1990. He has permanent exhibitions in Kenya, Uganda, Sudan, and South Africa, and has exhibited in Canada, United Arab Emirates, Tanzania, Australia, and Germany. Ahmed was among the top 70 winners of the very prestigious New York International Art Competition, ‘Art ‘95’. He was 2nd prizewinner in the Sudanese Ministry of Youth and Sport Art Competition. Ahmed participated in the East Africa Art Biennale, 2005. In 2007 he is exhibiting in Denmark and Germany, where demand for his work is high.
