Geoffrey's inspirations are scenes and people in the village, and he depicts them in unmistakable bold style in oil paintings, collages, and drawings. He has exhibited in India, Germany, Austria, USA, France, Australia, and Africa, including the East Africa Art Biennale 2003 and 2005.

Geoffrey Mukasa was born in 1954 in Uganda and graduated in fine arts from Lucknow University, India, in 1984. He had initially studied medicine, intending to follow in his father's footsteps. However the premature death of his father at the hands of Idi Amin's soldiers brought drastic changes to his life, among them the decision to make art his career, and he has been a full time artist since 1988.

"The philosophy of my artwork lies mainly on the human figure and the head..............in different settings of various colours, semi-abstract surroundings with an inner lighting. That consolidates the feeling of depth and the fourth dimension of time."   Mukasa
